We believe it's never too late to learn, and we create opportunities for children. Our approach engages children in early learning and tailors it to each crucial stage of their formative years, instilling concepts and ensuring they are caught up.

We stimulate learning even before school starts through daycare centers for the children (aged 0-3) of RMG workers, combining education with quality care. Our investment in Early Childhood Development (ECD) to enhance lifelong learning potential, focusing on children’s foundational learning and development, and on increasing enrollment and graduation rates. Empowering education for equality, we initiated science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) sessions for girls.

Our support extends to those falling behind in classes by addressing literacy and numeracy learning gaps, so children are eager to return to school. We also support teachers' capacity-building to meet each student's educational needs. Going beyond the classroom, we organize parenting and positive discipline in everyday parenting (PDEP) and engage stakeholders, government officials, and education officers to enhance quality education.  To broaden the scope of education, we seek mainstream climate change adaptation and environmental sustainability across the sector.

Stemming Up

We want to see inclusive opportunities and equal representation across all academic fields. With this in mind, we promoted STEM education amongst children of garment workers with a particular focus on girls. There is a significant gap in STEM representation, with only 21% of Bangladesh’s graduates being female. Focusing on changing mindsets, our approach includes addressing cultural barriers and addressing inequities that prevent girls from pursuing the field while introducing them to employment opportunities within it. We collaborated with education specialists to develop training modules to conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions for school teachers and STEM facilitators.

Every Step of the Way

Our life-cycle approach is designed to support children's developmental needs during the early stages of life. We start by ensuring proper care, nutrition, and early development stimulation for infants and toddlers at our daycares. Our early learning and pre-primary programs serve children aged 3-5 and 5-6, respectively, building a foundation for their cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skills. Many children who fall behind tend to drop out of school altogether. To bridge learning gaps, our remedial support for children of RMG workers covers grades 1 to 2, instilling essential skills in literacy, numeracy, and basic comprehension.

Back to the Classrooms

Our foundational learning support for primary-grade learners includes providing remedial support and fostering a community that puts learning first. We enable teachers by enhancing their capacity and motivation for remedial education, so they can best support children who are falling behind. Tailored to foundational learning competencies in primary grades, we collaborate with these educators to address literacy and numeracy learning gaps. Our collaboration with government stakeholders, district, and upazila education officials, and primary education training instructors further supports teachers’ development and fosters a strong local network for quality education.
