The devastation in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province, several days after severe flash floods and landslides struck Sumatra, Indonesia, on 26 November 2025. The disaster has caused fatalities, displacement, missing persons, and infrastructure damage. Roads, bridges, and communication access have been severed, leaving communities isolated for days without access to food, clean water, or medicine. Response teams from Save the Children Indonesia and partners have mobilized to distribute aid, working to open and identify access routes to isolated areas, including Aceh Tamiang. As of December 3, 2025, the response team has reached Aceh Tamiang and provided essential medicines to the local community. The team dispatches further assistance to this location.
